Electricity Plans With No Time-of-Use Pricing in Texas

A time-of-use plan charges different rates at different hours — the familiar versions are "free nights" and "free weekends". The free hours are real, and they are paid for by a higher rate during the hours you actually use most of your electricity.

Whether that works out depends entirely on when your household uses power, which is not something an advertised average price can tell you and not something this site can measure. A plan advertised at an attractive average can cost a daytime household considerably more than a plain fixed rate.

So these products are excluded at retrieval rather than filtered at display. They never enter the inventory, there is no toggle that switches them back on, and every plan below charges one rate at every hour of every day.

That is not a claim that time-of-use plans are bad. If you genuinely shift most of your consumption into the free window, one may well beat everything on this page — this is simply not the right tool for finding out, because the comparison depends on your hourly usage rather than on your total.
