24-Month Fixed Rate Electric Plans in Texas
A 24-month contract holds your energy rate for two years. You shop half as often as on a 12-month plan, and you are insulated for longer from whatever the market does in between.
The cost of that is flexibility. If rates fall substantially you are still on your old price, and leaving early means paying the early termination fee shown on each plan below. Two years is also long enough that a move can interrupt it — check the terms of service for what happens if you relocate, which is not the same as cancelling.
